Why I Moved Out Of Substack

If you blog here, you should move out too.

Long story short? Nazi.

Slightly longer story: Asshat CEO with a missing moral compass.

Without further ado… Let me get to the point. I’ve moved out of Substack because Substack supports Nazis by giving those groups a platform to publish. I can’t stand to be there anymore. Substack didn’t even arse pretending that they did squat about it, they didn’t and they won’t. Substack will keep making money from hosting Nazi newsletters.

But WAIT that’s not all. Substack’s CEO refused to do anything about racist content on Substack in general (saw the vid from a LinkedIn post):

Beehiiv has a real moderation policy unlike Substack. I’ll have to go back and fix missing back-links, and while that’s not all that fun it’s entirely necessary but at least the blog import process itself was just push-button. I should’ve thoroughly checked into Substack before setting up shop two years ago and that’s completely my own fault, but I’m glad that I’ve rectified the mistake now.
